I seek to understand how the events of the past coupled with the choices we make inform our desires and sometimes limit our actions. My imagery often includes topography and maps as a way to link the concreteness of a place with the abstraction of a feeling. The images not only map who I am, but also supply the routes to who I will become.

I utilize both prose as well as more poetic verse in the creation of hand printed, hand bound artist books. The combination of letterpress and silkscreen allows me to use simplified images layered in flat and transparent colors to create a rhythm that completes the written word. The text in my work primarily focuses on my own personal narratives and the impact of my surroundings. It can be a single event laid out as a story, or a poetic exploration of an emotion. Much like a map it both revisits my past and looks forward to my own wants and aspirations.
